Northumberland is renowned for its beautiful clean beaches - and Whitley Bay's golden sands are a prime example. The town boasts a huge choice of cafés, bars and restaurants and it's also within easy reach of Gateshead and Newcastle. The park has some superb facilities and there's a large nature reserve and some stunning cliff top walks to explore.

It's a great family park with a large outdoor play area, an indoor heated pool and live entertainment and discos in the Showbar. There are organised sports and leisure activities and amusements plus a bar, restaurants and takeaway food outlets. Tynemouth has two beaches and offers traditional seaside fayre, including ice-cream and fish and chip shops.

The Hexham is a great caravan for larger families - or for groups of up to eight people. It has one double bedroom and two twin rooms and there's plenty of space for two people to sleep in the lounge area. All the caravans have TVs and microwaves and the Hexham also has double glazing and central heating.

Get out and about on foot - it's the best way to see the stunning countryside. The Mitford Castle Walk is a gentle two mile stroll through farmland, with views of beautiful St Mary's Magdalene Church and the castle's five-sided keep.

Our Top Tip
"Enjoy splashing in the water at Prudhoe Waterworld - check out the shallow beach, wave machine and 40 metre aqua-slide!"

Geoffrey
great location for the sea
Hayley
Was a lovely site to stay at- well maintained- no complaints at all- it is very near some stunning beaches and easy reach to everything. We were impressed that the caravan behind us had some "trouble" & security dealt with it very effectively and professionally- always good to know you are in safe hands when with a child. The entertainment staff were great and made us welcome even though our daughter 10 and not into kiddie stuff they made her feel welcome. THANK YOU to all staff who always made us smile. Especially the man who worked in the arcade Monday- Wednesday he made choosing the prizes fun and exciting for our daughter

Really enjoyed the park very clean and tidy only problem we had was children's entertainment was up stairs and having two young kids in prams we felt this was a hazard if any thing ever happened in the entertainment lounge you would have all the kids and parents all trying to get out at once they could put the restaurant up stairs with views over looking the light house
Diane
