There are several types of holiday home to choose from all of which are bright and clean with excellent self catering facilities which include a microwave and fridge freezer. Bed linen is also included in all holiday homes as is gas and electricity. Travel cots, highchairs and cot sides are all available to hire for the duration of your stay.

Some holiday homes also allow pets at a small charge so no need to leave the family dog or cat behind. They can join in the fun too! All of the holiday homes here at Sundrum Castle have heating throughout so there is no need to worry about the Scottish weather. You will be warm and snug in your holiday home whatever the weather.

The Murifield holiday home has one double and one twin bedroom, these holiday homes were new to Sundrum Castle in 2006 and have heating throughout. The Carnoustie holiday homes are spacious and also have one double and one twin bedroom.

The Dundonald holiday homes were new in 2007 and are 12ft wide providing spacious family accommodation with one double and two twin bedrooms. The Troon holiday homes are stylish and spacious with co player, double glazing, central heating and a double bedroom and one single bedroom as well as room for two more in the living area.

The Turnberry holiday homes are spacious 3 bedroom models with double glazing and central heating and are stylish and modern in décor and also have a DVD player. Sundrum Castle Surrounding Area

The area around Sundrum Castle Holiday Park is one which is rich in stunning green countryside with contrasting long sandy beaches. This is a wonderful area for golfers with several courses to choose from. The area is the birthplace of Open Golf, and is the proud home of wonderful championship courses at Troon and Turnberry, this area is a real golfers’ paradise, but if golf is not your thing then fear not. There are plenty of things to see and do with something to suit all tastes and age groups.

This is Burns Country! The area is steeped in heritage and there are plenty of things to do for culture vultures. You could head to the Burns National Heritage Park to see the ‘But and Ben’ where Scotland’s national bard was born and raised. The Museum of Ayrshire Country Life and Costume at Dalgarven Mill also makes a fascinating trip and are both education and enjoyable day trips. The magnificent Culzean Castle which was designed by Robert Adams is well worth a visit and is a excellent place for a picnic. The castle is set within glorious grounds high up on a cliff top providing panoramic views of the Clyde.

This area has glorious coastline too. Rugged yet beautiful the area has many long sandy beached which are great placed to spend summer days and also great for walking and running. There are some lovely little seaside towns to visit including Ayr and the pretty Victorian resort of Largs, from here you can head off on the ferry to explore the lovely Isle of Arran. Don’t forget to bring your camera as this is a great place to see wildlife and is very popular with nature lovers!

If city chique is more your thing then the vibrant city of Glasgow is within easy reach. Here you can indulge in the café culture, do some shopping and enjoy a meal and a drink is one of the many bars and restaurants. And if you are looking for fun family days out then Heads of Ayr Park, There are almost 50 different types of animal to see here making this a really popular family day trip. You can get up close with many of the animals here and even feed and hold some of them. There is also a farm park which is great even if you are not an animal lover.

For something a little more adventurous then the amazing Loudoun Castle Theme Park is the place. Packed with rides and attractions this is a lovely place for families with rides for both adrenalin junkies and small children to enjoy. There is also a farm here and daily birds of prey show during high season.
