Fun Days Out in Peak District
This thrilling cable car trip has been one of the regions most popular attractions for many years. The site which once had to be reached on foot has many attractions including The Masson Cavern where visitors can experience the amazing cavern system which now has a state of the art lighting system to ensure you don't miss a thing! New for 2010 is the Animal Corner where children will love meeting the affectionate animals and enjoy shows and craft sessions during school holidays The Fossil Factory is another recent addition to the site and the 3 metres long giant Ichthyosaur fossil cannot be missed!
Conkers in the heart of the National Forest is a fun packed place for a day trip with many attractions in one place. There are no less than 100 interactive exhibits to enjoy as well as the enchanted forest adventure play where the little ones will love running around, 120 acres of maturing woodland and lakes which are ideal for walks and picnics, an assault course which older kids and teenagers will just love and many ranger led activities which the whole family can enjoy together. There is also an amphitheatre where live shows can be seen during school holidays and a café selling tasty local produce.
Rosliston Forestry Centre is a beautiful woodland site with tranquil areas for Fishing as well as some beautiful meadows and a lake. For children there is a Play Area to run around on and during school holidays organised activities such as range led walks are available. The site is also an excellent place for Walking, Cycling and Horse Riding. Other available events taking place this year include an Archery drop in session, a Christmas Crafting Afternoon and a Mince Pie and Mulled Wine Walk.
