Just two miles from the centre of Poole, this lovely park sits right next to a nature reserve on a wonderful stretch of sheltered coastline with its own sand and shingle beach. It's jam-packed with activities - you can try your hand at the climbing wall, have a gentle swim in one of the heated pools or make a splash in the SplashZone Grotto and tower flume.

Rockley Park has an all-weather multi-sports court, a ropes course and tennis courts. There's also archery, crazy golf and pool tables as well as Learn2Bike for the little ones. For the grown-ups, there's a sauna, a wonderfully invigorating hot tub and outdoor sun terrace - and the Spa at Rockley Park offers a great range of therapies and natural treatments.

Rockley Prestige 2 (Decking) is a great choice for families of up to six people. It's 12 ft wide with one double bedroom and one twin and space in the lounge for two more people to sleep. There's a bluetooth MP3 player, a well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer and a lovely outdoor space with decking.

Dorset is full of places to visit and offers some really fabulous days out. Bournemouth is just eight miles away with the Oceanarium and a great choice of shops and restaurants.

Our Top Tip
"Make time to go to both Abbotsbury Children's Farm Park and Paultons Family Theme Park and you can take a trip on a restored steam train at Swanage Railway to enjoy outstanding views."

Fun Days Out in Dorset

This has to be our favourite attraction in the area located amidst the woodland area of Dorset.  This is a monkey sanctuary and you will get the unique opportunity to see all of the great work that's carried out by the staff - and of course see the 160 plus primates for yourself. Situated over 65 acres this is a fantastic environment for the monkeys.

If you like museums then this is one with a difference.  Families will love wondering around this building looking at the earliest antique teddy bears and more modern teddy bears from today.  A real highlight is Edward Bear and his family of people sized bears which are hard to miss!  This popular Dorset attraction is also excellent value for money.

Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park is a must if you are enjoying a family holiday to Dorset. The Majestic gardens are simply stunning and include formal areas with gorgeous floral displays as well as a pretty terrace, a temple and a lake. The animal park area is great fun for children with plenty of friendly creatures including goats and adorable pot bellied pigs. The site also has a visitors centre with shop. At well under £20.00 for a family ticked it isExcellent value too.
