The activities at this fun-filled park have to be seen to be believed! As well as some beautiful open play areas and lakes with bumper boats, Primrose Valley - just a stone's throw from Scarborough and Whitby - offers archery, fencing, tennis, crazy golf, pool kayaking, bungee trampolining, High Ropes and Turbo Paddlers to name just a few.

There's a climbing wall and a host of nature-based groups, such as Bush Crafts, Everyone Outdoors and Nature Rocks. You can fish in the fresh water lake, go karting, hit the climbing wall, play football or go swimming in the two heated pools. The park even has its own funfair and an excellent bar and restaurant - as well as a variety of children's and teen clubs.

The accommodation comprises two and three bedroomed caravans with extra space in the lounge for two further guests. The Primrose Deluxe Plus 3 is 12 foot wide with one double bedroom and two twin rooms. It has a TV, well equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower, and there is additional heating in the bedrooms if needed.

Whitby was recently voted the UK's favourite seaside resort, but you'll also find wonderful beaches at Hornsea, Bridlington and right on your doorstep in Filey (with a Sculpture Trail that you can follow).

Our Top Tip
"A day at the Sea Life Sanctuary in Scarborough is fascinating - you'll be able to watch hundreds of stunning reef fish, turtles and tropical sharks."

Fun Days Out in Yorkshire Moors & Coast

This York attraction is educational as well as fun as you get to learn all about the Viking-Age city of Jorvik. Archaeologists from York Archaeological Trust revealed the houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik, as it stood 1,000 years ago.  You get to travel around in a unique state of the art time capsule.  For a more realistic experience you might get a blast of smoke from the blacksmith's furnace.  It is recommended that you book ahead during school holidays as this popular attraction gets very busy.

Madhyamaka Meditation Centre  a unique and very special centre in the Yorkshire moors offering amazing meditation experiences for experts and novices. The beautiful setting really ads to the experience and the gorgeous grounds are abundant with wildlife including Squirrels, Deer and Birds including Red Kites. The centre is now offering a special weekend retreat for families which includes family friendly guided meditations as well as fun activities such as face painting, games and a barbeque.

Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary is an excellent choice for a day trip if you are enjoying a family holiday in the Yorkshire region. A stroll around this fascinating centre takes customers on a journey beneath the waves and allows encounters with many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. Everything from the common starfish to the mighty shark can be seen. The otters, seals and penguins are very popular and feeding time is a real highlight. There are also regular talks and demonstrations throughout the day. Outside there is a children's play area and picnic spot but there is also a restaurant onsite. Family tickets are available at just 46.80 but huge savings available by calling into one of the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey.
No matter where you are staying in the Yorkshire region a visit to Castle Howard is a must. The magnificent 18th century house has a stunning setting in breathtaking parkland with gorgeous grounds speckled with temples, lakes, statues and fountains. The formal gardens are the perfect place for a stroll and the woodland garden and ornamental vegetable garden feature some beautiful displays. Other attractions include the Great Lake where visitors can take boat trips and the adventure playground where the little ones can run around. The house is also open to the public and guided tours are available. Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic but there are also 3 cafes onsite and 6 shops. An adult ticket for the house and gardens is just 13.

everything you need is on hand at the site,.and the site is very close to other well known places that you can visit,.as it was our first visit to the caravan site,.well we couldn't fault it,.and we will be booking again in the future,.
Debbie
Stayed during peak time, site was fully booked but with the spacing of the activities and restaurants we didn't really notice, staff were friendly and helpful, would definitely visit again in the future.
Madeleine
Our first caravan homiday anf we absolutely loved it. Everything was within thr park that we needed. We would have preferred to know about the walk to the beach before setting off but it wouldn't have put us off.
Andy
Had a very enjoyable and welcome break! The caravan was good, clean and in an amazing location, nearby everything. The only downside is the amount of time you're waiting to check in at 4pm. If Primrose put in 2-3 extra check-in desks at least, then the holiday would be perfect!
Victoria
We have been to Primrose Valley before and always enjoy it. The caravan was clean and modern. Booking was easy but the time we could get the key was a bit late and the queue was long.
Kevin
