If it's family fun you're after then Presthaven Beach Resort has it all.  With an enviable seaside location in Wales this is not your average seaside holiday.  As well as glorious beaches to enjoy there is an abundance of entertainment and facilities on site to keep the whole family entertained.  The indoor pool with flume is a real bonus and for the more active there is a multi-sports court, football coaching, fencing and archery.

We think kids of all ages will love it here at Presthaven Beach Resort and the kids clubs are ideal to give parents some time to relax as well.  There is even an outdoor pool in the summer months where you can have a splash about on sunny days.

For the whole family there are entertainment venues featuring shows and cabarets, not to mention discos so you can dance the night away if you choose.  Of course you may prefer to sit back and relax and enjoy the fabulous entertainment.  Dining options include a cafe and takeaway so if you don't feel like cooking you don't have to!

There is a wide choice of accommodation at Presthaven Sands so you are bound to find the perfect caravan for you.  The Prestige and Deluxe models offer more space and luxury, and you can choose from 2 or 3 bedrooms.  For those on a budget the standard caravans offer a comfortable base on this amazing park and offers great value for money.  All accommodations come with TV, well equipped kitchens, shower and bed linen/duvets.

For family days off the park this area of Wales is perfect for exploring.  As well as the beach you could head for The Palace Fun Centre in Rhyl just over 6 miles away.  From terror towers to a playground and bowling this place has something for all ages.  Kightley's Funfair in Towyn is also well worth a visit.  This exciting amusement park has a bar and restaurant and of course many thrilling rides from the sizzler sensation to the dodgems.  There are even award winning floral gardens to explore.

If you prefer a more relaxing day out then we highly recommend Oxton Conservation Area.  If you love charming villages then you will love this place which has been turned into a conservation area.  Enjoy strolling around the shops and churches or a drink in the pub.

Our Top Tip
"Visit Tam O'Shanter Urban Farm to see the animals and take part in one of the many events they hold.  This is a charity run cottage and farm and a charming place for families to visit. "

Fun Days Out in Flintshire

Treasure Island Fun Centre

Located in Anglesey in the North of Wales this has to be one of our favourite attractions in the area.  The maze of ramps, slides and tubes will keep the little ones entertained and allow to them to run off their excess energy.  For kids aged 1 to 10 we highly recommend this place.

Penrhyn Castle

Situated in the Gwynedd area of Wales this neo-Norman castle is well worth a visit.  Full of historic and fascinating objects this Castle will appeal to many.  Some of the highlights include the amazing collection of paintings, The Victorian Kitchen, the Servants Rooms, the one ton slate bed made for Queen Victoria and the mock Norman furniture.

Dinosaur Park

This is a popular theme park for kids of all ages where you can follow Dinosaur Trails, play on the adventure playgrounds and on rainy days head for the indoor play den.  You will find this attraction in the Tenby area of Mid Wales and we think it's great value for money.  If you fancy a snack while you are there then the Dinosaur Restaurant and Picnic Area are on hand.

National Botanic Garden of Wales

If you like gardens then this place is sure to appeal.  With some of the most rare plants in the country and even in the world your visit will help to protect some of these species.  Attractions within the Botanic Garden include a mini farm, discovery centre, adventure zone and bee garden.  Located in the Llanarthne area of Mid Wales this place is easily accessible from many of the holiday parks in the area.

Greenwood Forest Park

Greenwood Forest Park is the premier family fun park in Wales and has lots to offer for adults and children alike. Within the park are amazing Treetop Towers, exciting Jungle Boats and a mysterious Crocodile Maze. Fun activities are plentiful including Archery, Stilt Walking and even the very unusual Den Building activity. New for 2010 is Little Forest Play Barn which is the perfect place for the little ones to run around and is also handy if the weather is not great. Don't miss the amazing shows at the outdoor Forest Theatre which include magic shows, and pirate experiences.

Welsh Mountain Zoo

Welsh Mountain Zoo is situated above Colwyn Bay offering stunning views and amazing scenery and is the perfect place for a relaxing day out with the kids. The beautiful gardens are home to many species of animals including some rare and endangered species. This Zoo is very much a conservation programme and educational talks are given regularly. Highlights include Sealions Rock, The Penguin Playtime show and the Chimp Encounter.

Glasfryn Activity Parc

Glasfryn Activity Parc is an award winning year round attraction with plenty of facilities to keep the whole family happy. Quad Bikes, Archery, Soft Play and even Wakeboarding can all be enjoyed. The site also has a fantastic farm shop, a café and 10 pin bowing complex.

Rhondda Heritage Park

Rhondda Heritage Park is located at the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery and is a popular attraction with a range of facilities including a visitor centre, an art gallery, a gift shop, and a lovely period re-constructed Village Street.  Fully guided tours are available and include multimedia presentations as well as a unique trip underground where visitors will experience the life of a coal miner. The site also boasts a children's play area and an underground experience zone.

the caravan came with a double room and a bunk bed room instead of a twin bed room...wasnt an issue as there was a sofa bed but may need to be taken into consideration as the lower bunk was practically floor level..the children loved it but may not be suitable for everyone if they are expecting twin single beds
Elaine
The caravan was really spacious and very modern. We would love to go back hopefully soon
Claire
Fab time with the kids😘
Lou
We had a lovely little holiday and the kids had a ball! On arrival our caravan (deluxe 2 bedroom) was spotless, modern and warm, with it being March weather I was pleasantly surprised to find that the heating was on, ready for us. The park itself has lots for the kids to do, they enjoyed the character shows and got involved in one of the shows with the Funstars who were fab. Weather was a bit rubbish but we made the most of the pool (only downside is the access to the lockers, everyone trying to squeeze into the tiny corridor at once) and indoor activities, kids liked painting the clay figurines and playing in the indoor play area. All in all, great hol and worth the money we paid!
Paul
Wonderful family holiday.. Thank you
