Lower Hyde has a fabulous location on the edge of Shanklin and offers easy access to all that the Isle of Wight has to offer including some beautiful beaches. The park itself has a wonderful range of family friendly facilities including clubs to keep the little ones amused and a large outdoor pool which is the perfect place to cool off in the summer months.

There is also an indoor spa pool so there is no need for rain to stop the fun and the multi- sports court is also suitable for all weathers. There are several places to eat on site so no need for mum to cook! Hudson’s bar, diner and take away serves good quality food with plenty of children’s options. On an evening head over to the show bar where you can enjoy live music, cabaret shows and discos.

A range of caravans, lodges and chalets are available. The Lower Hyde Bronze is a good credit crunch choice and is well equipped with everything you need while the luxurious Lower Hyde Gold 3 is top of the range and provides spacious accommodation with heating throughout. If you are looking for something really special you can opt for the Lower Signature lodge which is luxurious and exclusive with double glazing and central heating, two bedrooms and stylish interior.

Lower Hyde Reviews

Michelle Bent
We stayed here for a week in August and loved every minute. Even though we had some bad weather there was always something to do and the children made some good friends. The site felt safe and we were happy for them to wander around the park without us. We will be booking again for next year.

We had a great time. The caravan was excellent, clean and very well equipped. The location of the site allowed us to explore the island. The site itself was very well set out. The staff and the entertainment were excellent and we would have no hesitation in returning. Overall--great value for money

Shanklin is just beautiful. We stayed in a chalet which was ok, a little dated but clean and comfortable. Park resort perfect for families; swimming pools, arcades and night entertainment. I would definitely go again

Plenty of space and well appointed. This part of the park is in a separate area to one side and is quiet with plenty of space between caravans. Good space for kids to play in as well. The only real negative is the park is a fair trek to the beach. As a base to explore the island I think it's good value for money.

Out first time staying in Lower Hyde, would stay again. We stayed in the gold 2 rated caravan, it was nice and clean. Only problem we had was the mattress wasn't too comfortable. We didn't get time to use the resort pool too because it used to close by about 6pm and we was out those times. Would be good if pool could close a little later.
