Just a short walk from Tenby's lovely beach, Kiln Park is perfect for families, offering activities and water sports galore. It's set within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and is a great base for trips to the South Wales mountains. You can go bowling, play football, try your hand at archery or enjoy the two heated swimming pools.

There's family entertainment, a bar and restaurant, as well as a fish and chip takeaway, launderette and convenience store. Children of all ages are well catered for with kids' clubs, an outdoor SplashZone, all weather multi-sports court and loads of activities, such as fencing, bungee trampolining, pool kayaking, turbo paddling and Aqua Gliders.

The Kiln Deluxe Plus 3 is a 12 foot wide caravan with one double and two twin bedrooms plus a bathroom with shower. There is additional accommodation for two in the lounge area so it comfortably sleeps up to eight people and has a fully equipped kitchen and TV.

Pembrokeshire has some superb family attractions such as Oakwood Theme Park at Narberth and the Dinosaur Experience in Tenby itself. Head to Snowdonia National Park for a Happy Valley Walking experience, or enjoy a wander round Little Haven, a quaint fishing village on the west coast.

Fun Days Out in Pembrokeshire

Treasure Island Fun Centre

Located in Anglesey in the North of Wales this has to be one of our favourite attractions in the area.  The maze of ramps, slides and tubes will keep the little ones entertained and allow to them to run off their excess energy.  For kids aged 1 to 10 we highly recommend this place.

Penrhyn Castle

Situated in the Gwynedd area of Wales this neo-Norman castle is well worth a visit.  Full of historic and fascinating objects this Castle will appeal to many.  Some of the highlights include the amazing collection of paintings, The Victorian Kitchen, the Servants Rooms, the one ton slate bed made for Queen Victoria and the mock Norman furniture.

Dinosaur Park

This is a popular theme park for kids of all ages where you can follow Dinosaur Trails, play on the adventure playgrounds and on rainy days head for the indoor play den.  You will find this attraction in the Tenby area of Mid Wales and we think it's great value for money.  If you fancy a snack while you are there then the Dinosaur Restaurant and Picnic Area are on hand.

National Botanic Garden of Wales

If you like gardens then this place is sure to appeal.  With some of the most rare plants in the country and even in the world your visit will help to protect some of these species.  Attractions within the Botanic Garden include a mini farm, discovery centre, adventure zone and bee garden.  Located in the Llanarthne area of Mid Wales this place is easily accessible from many of the holiday parks in the area.

Greenwood Forest Park

Greenwood Forest Park is the premier family fun park in Wales and has lots to offer for adults and children alike. Within the park are amazing Treetop Towers, exciting Jungle Boats and a mysterious Crocodile Maze. Fun activities are plentiful including Archery, Stilt Walking and even the very unusual Den Building activity. New for 2010 is Little Forest Play Barn which is the perfect place for the little ones to run around and is also handy if the weather is not great. Don't miss the amazing shows at the outdoor Forest Theatre which include magic shows, and pirate experiences.

Welsh Mountain Zoo

Welsh Mountain Zoo is situated above Colwyn Bay offering stunning views and amazing scenery and is the perfect place for a relaxing day out with the kids. The beautiful gardens are home to many species of animals including some rare and endangered species. This Zoo is very much a conservation programme and educational talks are given regularly. Highlights include Sealions Rock, The Penguin Playtime show and the Chimp Encounter.

Glasfryn Activity Parc

Glasfryn Activity Parc is an award winning year round attraction with plenty of facilities to keep the whole family happy. Quad Bikes, Archery, Soft Play and even Wakeboarding can all be enjoyed. The site also has a fantastic farm shop, a café and 10 pin bowing complex.

Rhondda Heritage Park

Rhondda Heritage Park is located at the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery and is a popular attraction with a range of facilities including a visitor centre, an art gallery, a gift shop, and a lovely period re-constructed Village Street.  Fully guided tours are available and include multimedia presentations as well as a unique trip underground where visitors will experience the life of a coal miner. The site also boasts a children's play area and an underground experience zone.

Great caravan with plenty of space and storage. The only thing was the dining space. There were 6 of us staying in the caravan but only 4 chairs. There were two stools but the table was not big enough to accommodate 6 people. Probably not a problem on a warm sunny day because there was a table outside but not too good when wet and/or cold.

We really enjoyed our stay with the grandchildren. The accommodation was situated in a very good position for all amenities. Plus a short walk to the beach made it perfect. The children loved the pool but the large area was a little crowded so could not do any real swimming which our 6 year old loves to do.

Took my son her for his 5th birthday and he really enjoyed himself! Third visit here and definitely won't be the last! Restaurant is a bit pricey though.

This is the second family holiday we have spent at Kiln Park. This time due to the time of year we upgraded to a Prestige to allow earlier check in along with a slightly bigger Caravan and the luxury of central heating and double glazing. We were greated by friendly staff on arrival who showed us on map where our van was and appropriate parking. The facilities we were already familiar with as well as some of the activities available on site. During our stay we attended the kids evening entertainment which they loved and took part in - even winning a prize. The pool is lovely and warm and brilliant for really young children too with the segregated shallow area and slide for children over a metre. The beach is a short walk and Tenby isn’t too far if you like walking (or your kids do). There is a path or you can enjoy a stroll along the beach. Activities are available some being free others that are chargeable, again the kids attended a couple of these that they enjoyed. Other attractions are not far away by car and within a very short distance your holiday can accommodate lots of days out to places. The caravan was clean and perfect for our requirements with a large fridge freezer to help store the weeks groceries. We did eat out a couple of times and the fish and chips on site are well worth getting for a chippy tea. I would definitely go back again. One gripe would be parking. This can be quite limited when busy and the spaces are quite tight for kids getting in and out of cars.
Christina
Great park, great area, close to a beautiful beach. Real value for money. I highly recommend
Samantha
It's a really lovely lively park set in a beautiful location. It was clean and tidy. The walk to the beach is really handy. We loved the park and would return.
Samantha
Really lovely place, staff were helpful. Just lack of time to fit everything in.
William
Had a great holiday with the family to help celebrate my 63rd birthday
Sylvia
Had a wonderful peaceful break. The park was very clean and it’s location to the beach and surrounding areas and sights was brilliant. The caravan was modern and comfortable.
