Cardigan Bay is located in a peaceful valley and is just 300 yards from the beautiful and award winning Poppit Sands beach. This idyllic location is one of the reasons that the park has so many repeat visitors.  Nature lovers will love it here as the Pembrokeshire coastal path National Park is right on the doorstep and the area is a haven for wildlife.

Cycling and walking are good ways to explore the area and take advantage of the stunning views.  Bottle Nose Dolphins can be seen in Cardigan Bay and if you go just a little further you can find many other unspoilt beaches. On the park itself you can enjoy the outdoor heated pool where in the summer you can relax on sun loungers while children can splash around.

Accommodation at Cardigan Bay Holiday Park is in modern caravans. There are several types to choose from sleeping between 2 and six people. The Cardigan 1 is a good choice for couples. This cosy caravan has one double bedroom and is budget friendly.  Families may prefer the Pembroke 3 which is 12ft wide and has heating throughout. There are three bedrooms and the caravan is equipped with a DVD player.  If you prefer a home from home then the Old Millers cottage is recommended. This beautiful little cottage benefits from an outdoor hot tub and provides luxury accommodation with central heating, private patio, dishwasher and three bedrooms.

Fun Days Out in Pembrokeshire

Treasure Island Fun Centre

Located in Anglesey in the North of Wales this has to be one of our favourite attractions in the area.  The maze of ramps, slides and tubes will keep the little ones entertained and allow to them to run off their excess energy.  For kids aged 1 to 10 we highly recommend this place.

Penrhyn Castle

Situated in the Gwynedd area of Wales this neo-Norman castle is well worth a visit.  Full of historic and fascinating objects this Castle will appeal to many.  Some of the highlights include the amazing collection of paintings, The Victorian Kitchen, the Servants Rooms, the one ton slate bed made for Queen Victoria and the mock Norman furniture.

Dinosaur Park

This is a popular theme park for kids of all ages where you can follow Dinosaur Trails, play on the adventure playgrounds and on rainy days head for the indoor play den.  You will find this attraction in the Tenby area of Mid Wales and we think it's great value for money.  If you fancy a snack while you are there then the Dinosaur Restaurant and Picnic Area are on hand.

National Botanic Garden of Wales

If you like gardens then this place is sure to appeal.  With some of the most rare plants in the country and even in the world your visit will help to protect some of these species.  Attractions within the Botanic Garden include a mini farm, discovery centre, adventure zone and bee garden.  Located in the Llanarthne area of Mid Wales this place is easily accessible from many of the holiday parks in the area.

Greenwood Forest Park

Greenwood Forest Park is the premier family fun park in Wales and has lots to offer for adults and children alike. Within the park are amazing Treetop Towers, exciting Jungle Boats and a mysterious Crocodile Maze. Fun activities are plentiful including Archery, Stilt Walking and even the very unusual Den Building activity. New for 2010 is Little Forest Play Barn which is the perfect place for the little ones to run around and is also handy if the weather is not great. Don't miss the amazing shows at the outdoor Forest Theatre which include magic shows, and pirate experiences.

Welsh Mountain Zoo

Welsh Mountain Zoo is situated above Colwyn Bay offering stunning views and amazing scenery and is the perfect place for a relaxing day out with the kids. The beautiful gardens are home to many species of animals including some rare and endangered species. This Zoo is very much a conservation programme and educational talks are given regularly. Highlights include Sealions Rock, The Penguin Playtime show and the Chimp Encounter.

Glasfryn Activity Parc

Glasfryn Activity Parc is an award winning year round attraction with plenty of facilities to keep the whole family happy. Quad Bikes, Archery, Soft Play and even Wakeboarding can all be enjoyed. The site also has a fantastic farm shop, a café and 10 pin bowing complex.

Rhondda Heritage Park

Rhondda Heritage Park is located at the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery and is a popular attraction with a range of facilities including a visitor centre, an art gallery, a gift shop, and a lovely period re-constructed Village Street.  Fully guided tours are available and include multimedia presentations as well as a unique trip underground where visitors will experience the life of a coal miner. The site also boasts a children's play area and an underground experience zone.

Lovely location, friendly staff, we stayed in Pembroke caravan which was modern with everything you need for a weekend away. Would recommend for stay with family
Oliver
Nice, only downside was the wait on meals.
Stewart
Very spacious cottage which was lovely and warm, easy walk to the beach, fully enclosed garden with a small stream running by the side of it. Would go back, the maintenance team came quickly to deal with small issues. The cottage is ideal for dog owners, our dog enjoyed the freedom of a enclosed garden and a beach nearby which allowed dogs on.
