Porthminster beach is Just 3 miles away and is a lovely place for a family day out. There are lots of things to see and do in Cornwall and ST Ives Holiday Park is a great base from which to get out and explore. Theme parks, tropical gardens, and stunning coves are all right on the door step.

The Holiday Park is the proud owner of a stunning swimming pool complex which has a waterslide and a separate pool for toddlers. This is the perfect place to spend the day and no need to worry about the weather as the pool is indoor and heated. This holiday park really caters specifically for the needs of a family. There are loads of activities to keep children busy both day and evening.

The Foxy children’s club provides a comprehensive program of activities for them to enjoy which may include things like face painting, talent shows, sports competitions and treasure hunts. The Foxy club is an excellent place for children to make friends and will also give adults plenty of time to relax. When they are not having fun at the children club the kids can explore the pay area or have a game of pool. There is also an arcade/games room. On an evening the children’s entertainment is varied and often includes a disco.

Once the sun goes down guests can head to the rafters club where following the children’s entertainment they can enjoy bingo and cabaret shows. The bar here is bright and airy and also serves snacks throughout the day. There is a café too and a take away as well as many pubs in the surrounding area so there is really no need to cook here if you don’t want to. If you do choose to do some cooking here then you Chalet is very well equipped and the on site mini market sells all the essentials. Of course you can also bring food with you and this is a good idea if you are on a tight budget. The Holiday Park provides excellent value for money and most of the entertainment and many of the activities such as the pool and play areas are free once you get here.

Overall St Ives Holiday Park provides a very high standard of accommodation and has everything needed for a very memorable holiday!

Accommodation is in attractive and comfortable chalets. You can choose from bronze, silver and gold chalets. All of the accommodation is well appointed around the park and is very well maintained. Travacroft chalets are compact terraces chalets which have everything you need for a great self catering holiday. The bronze versions are budget friendly and more basic while the stylish gold challets are more luxurious and feature a DVD player, double glazing and improved interior.

Woodland chalets are more spacious but still come in a budget friendly bronze version and a luxurious, spacious Gold version which has both a double and a twin room as well as a DVD player, double glazing and is attractively furnished. The silver is the mid range chalet which is comfortable and has a double bedroom twin room and a bathroom with continental bath.

The most famous walking route in the area is The Camel Trail, this old and disused railway line is now an excellent walking and cycling path.

If you are looking for fun family days out then why not head to Flambards this is a medium sized theme park with many rides and attractions for both adults and children. For something more unusual you can visit St Michael’s Mount, This is a fascinating little island which can be visited on foot at low tide and is the setting for a beautiful maritime garden. Animal lovers may enjoy travelling to the seal sanctuary in picturesque Helston. This is a great choice for a family day out. As well as grey and common seals, you can also see fur seals and Californian and Patagonian Sea Lions as well as many other rescued sea creatures such as dolphins.
